#2 An Ideal Husband at the Firehall Theatre
When: February 24th to 25th 2023 at 8pm and February 26th at 2pm
An Ideal Husband premiered in London in 1895 at the Haymarket Theatre, with four acts and three intermissions. The Firehall Theatre was able to cut the play down to the length of a Hollywood action film. Oscar Wilde’s plots, subplots, and parodies delight and occasionally amuse theatregoers. While Wilde’s humour and intelligence exposes and extols your vices and virtues, imagine you are a member of the English nobility, seated in that first audience. Wilde mingled with the Upper Class, but he quickly realized he wasn’t one of them and suffered the repercussions. Perception and reality will ultimately conflict in the case of an ideal husband, or any ideal.

AT THE BUTTERFLY CONSERVATORY: AN UNDERGROUND EXHIBITION
Have you ever considered the incredible superheroes at work under your feet? It’s time to meet the main characters, such as Captain Clay, The Mole, and Wonder Worm, and discover how their superpowers not only serve people with food and medicine, but also clean the water we drink and safeguard the environment!
These small-but-mighty figures assist us in answering the question, “What is soil, anyway? “What is the significance?” They also serve as a reminder that human actions, such as farming techniques and what we buy, reuse, and recycle, have a global impact on soil health.
