During the Summer virtually every tourist is aware of all the concerts in Niagara Falls down at Queen Victoria Park, with free Coca-Cola sponsored concerts at 8:00 pm on fireworks days — which is every Friday, Sunday and Holiday evening at 10:00 pm until September 1, 2013. Queen Victoria Park’s big draw is of course the backdrop of Niagara Falls, which generates an estimated 12 million tourists a year to this spot. However, Niagara Falls is also home to a unique, quaint downtown core just a few minutes drive from the brink of the Falls. Queen Street, is home to authentic stores and restaurants and its revitalized look of new sidewalks and parks has garnered attention from local artists, springing up some new galleries which just adds to its renovated look. Just look for the newly added “Gold Q” arch that hangs above the street! This street, which has been around since the early 1900’s, is also holding concerts in Niagara Falls.
Right now, every Friday night from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm until August 16th, 2013 at Centennial Square in front of City Hall, Queen Street will be home to a fantastic Summer Lineup of artists that will be putting on some outdoor concerts in Niagara Falls. Sit out the patio at your favourite cafe or restaurant that aligns the street and have a cold one and enjoy some early evening entertainment! This Friday, July 19th, enjoy the sounds of “Blue Radio“, a tribute band to Blue Rodeo. Here is a list of the other upcoming bands:
July 26th: “Summer of 69”, a Salute to Bryan Adams
August 2nd: “Desire”, a Salute to U2
August 9th: “Groove Fever”, a Salute to Diva Fever
August 16th: “The Tone Dogs”, Old Rock and Blues band
