Being French-friendly could benefit tourism

Tourists from Quebec like Niagara. They would like it even more – and pump more money in to Niagara’s tourism sector – if tourism and hospitality operators made an effort to speak even a little French.
That was the message Susan Morin brought to the Rotary Club of Welland on Tuesday.
A community development manager with Venture Niagara, Morin says there is an opportunity for Welland. Niagara Falls is the tourism magnet in the region.
