Niagara Falls will be illuminated with the national colors of Paraguay this Friday, as a tribute to the Republic of Paraguay’s Independence for the past 210 years. The show can be seen through our Niagara Falls cam page.

For the first time in history, Niagara Falls will wear the colors of the Paraguayan flag – red, white and blue – in a special tribute to the national holiday of Paraguay. The announcement was made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) through its social networks. As mentioned, “on the occasion of the 210th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Paraguay, the Embassy of Paraguay in Canada is pleased to invite you to see, for the first time, the live lighting of Niagara Falls with the colors of the National Flag of Paraguay.”

The colors of the tricolor will illuminate the natural wonder:
Friday, May 14, at 9:45 p.m. (local time) for about 15 minutes.

In addition, those in Canada will be able to access the park to see the lighting live. Attendees are asked to follow established health guidelines to avoid coronavirus infections.

According to the Niagara Falls Illumination Board, it is reported that, due to the logistics of lighting of the Falls, the red, white and blue national flag colours will be projected vertically.
