Niagara Falls, Ontario Offers Wonderful Winter Events for a Fantastic Family Outing.
Canada’s Most Exciting NYE Party, World-class light displays, and Clifton Hill’s world famous Street of Fun by the Falls combine for the best in Canadian winter entertainment.
No stranger to showcasing the talents of Canada’s finest musicians, Niagara Falls Canada welcomes a new generation of entertainers for the 2012 Niagara Falls New Years Eve Celebration, presented by Niagara Parks, ET Canada, and local partners.
The open-air concert takes place at the foot of Clifton Hill in Queen Victoria Park and has attracted some of Canada’s most exciting entertainers. The show starts on Saturday, December 31st, 7:30PM with emerging artist Stephanie McIlroy opening for the Sheepdogs, Saskatoon’s rock phenomenon, and JUNO winner Keshia Chanté. Following this, alternative rock legends, Our Lady Peace, will keep the crowd pumped as the clock ticks down to midnight with Simple Plan: Canada’s much loved pop/punk band, ushering in the 2012 new year! The event is expected to attract over 40,000 spectators, who will also be treated to two giant fireworks displays set for 8:45 p.m. and midnight.
Also, everyone who visits Niagara Falls this winter can enjoy the CAA Winter Festival of Lights, in full swing during the holiday season (free, November 5, 2011 to January 31, 2012), Falls Illumination (free, 5pm to 12am from Jan 1 – 31 & 6:30pm – 10pm Feb 1-28, 2012), Niagara’s newest winter attraction: TD Rink at the Brink, grand holiday displays throughout the city, and unique Niagara Falls events.
