A picturesque landscape of 45 spectacular holes of golf on 1,000 acres of land awaits at the Legends on the Niagara. There are two 18-holes courses located on this stretch of land; on the north side the Battlefield golf course, and on the south side the Ussher’s Creek golf course, as well as a 9-hole short course named “Chippawa”.
Legends on the Niagara also offers a 45-acre driving range, and was voted “best in Ontario” practice facility.
The Battlefield Course is a championship course named because of its location on the very grounds of the “Battle of Chippawa” during the War of 1812. Golfers face sand traps, holes winding through trees, and a large man-made lake that becomes a trap on four holes. This course was designed by Doug Carrick, one of Canada’s leading golf course architects.
The Ussher’s Creek course was designed by golf architect Thomas McBroom and was one of his finest creations. This course houses thick trees, and wetland hazards throughout.
The Chippawa course was designed by both Douglas Carrick and Thomas McBroom combined. The 9-hole course is perfect for the beginner and will take approximately only an hour to complete.
The Clubhouse at Legends on the Niagara overlooks the grounds of the historic Battle of Chippawa, and is open to the public for lunch or dinner during golfing season. Call for reservations.
