Trombone Shorty, the stage name of Troy Andrews, is a renowned trombonist, composer, bandleader, author, and philanthropist from New Orleans. A musical prodigy, Andrews performed with Bo Diddley at age four, led his own brass band at six, and toured with Lenny Kravitz at 13. His unique sound ranges from fat, brash, and aggressive to warm, moaning, and sweet. 

With an encyclopedic knowledge of the brass band tradition, he seamlessly blends funk, jazz, rock, hip-hop, soul, and blues into his performances and compositions.
